Hello! What an interesting site. Im new in Joburg and me and my two dogs, a Golden and lab pup are desparate for a doggie friendly park around the Germiston, Lambton, Primrose area, Ihave some experience in training, a big fan of Cesar Millan's methods and would love nothing more than joining a school as an apprentice trainer. Can you point me in the right direction? Are there schools near this part of the city? Appreciate your assistance.

Dog Training Classes in Johannesburg
Dog lovers in Johannesburg will find that a few dog training sessions is all that is needed to allow them to gain control over their furry companion. Dog ownership can be a very fulfilling and enjoyable experience, while on the other hand if man’s best friend is ill-mannered, bothersome and a downright nuisance, this enjoyment will soon turn into despair for both the dog and the dog owner.
Puppies are easier to train, but old dogs still have what it takes
The dog training classes which are offered in Johannesburg are usually held in the city’s many parks, and during the weekends and on the week evenings, diligent dog owners can be seen teaching their furry friends to sit, stay, recall, close, or heel. The best time for dog training classes to begin is while the dog is still in the puppy phase as the pup will be far more conducive to learning and the wide eyed puppy will want to impress their new owners. Older dogs can be trained and the age old saying of ‘you can’t teach an old dog new tricks’ does not hold water and professional Johannesburg dog trainers, after hours of dedicated dog training, will soon have old Fido sitting on command. Older dogs tend to take a little longer than their younger counterparts but with love and support, the aged canine will soon catch on.
Connect with other dog lovers
More than the dog training classes in Johannesburg being ideal classes for dog owners to learn the tricks of the trade and help their newly acquired pups to grow into well disciplined and content dogs, the classes will also permit dog lovers from around the city to meet and mingle long after the classes have ended.

If a dog is unruly and the owner has no authoritative control over the dog, the relationship between the dog and owner will be an unhappy and troublesome one. Locating a professional and experienced dog training facility in Johannesburg will assist dog owners to learn commands on how they can gain control and in so doing, let man (or woman) and dog live happily together. Dog training is never cruel or unkind and in order to teach lessons to the dogs, dog trainers use rewards and praise as incentives.
A dog is unable to learn obedience without being taught and as such dog training classes are a must. With summer upon us, now is the best time to enjoy the fresh air, meet new friends and master the commands that are used in dog obedience training, such as heel, sit and stay.
